MEP Electrical Engineer
F&M International is looking for an experienced MEP Electrical Engineer to join its site supervision team on a hospitality project based in the Maldives.
The role is focused on site supervision and technical oversight of MEP works, with a strong emphasis on electrical systems and their coordination with mechanical installations. The position requires hands on site experience, strong QA QC awareness, and the ability to work in a remote, site based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and inspect all MEP works on site, with a primary focus on electrical systems and their interfaces with mechanical installations.
- Monitor installation of electrical systems, equipment, supports, and interfaces with HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and BMS systems.
- Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, and project QA QC procedures.
- Coordinate MEP works with civil, structural, architectural, and other engineering disciplines to avoid clashes and ensure smooth site progress.
- Conduct material delivery inspections and ongoing installation inspections.
- Identify, document, and support the close out of non compliance reports.
- Witness testing and commissioning activities and review related reports.
- Support the review of as built drawings and O and M manuals during handover
The ideal candidate meets the following requirements:
- Strong background in electrical systems and MEP coordination.
- Solid knowledge of international codes, standards, and QA QC procedures.
- Ability to work in a remote, site based and rotation environment.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Availability to work on site in the Maldives.
